John Doogan

I am a specialist landscape and location photographer based in Christchurch, New Zealand. It is not by chance I live here in the centre of a landscape photographer's and outdoor enthusiast's paradise.

In pursuit of the perfect image I've spent many nights camped out; returning to locations over and over as I chase the light. I've numbed my fingers gripping cameras outside helicopters, felt seasick steadying cameras on rocking boats, and donated blood to West Coast sandflies. I do these things happily, to create images that show the beauty and wonder of New Zealand.

I believe in patience, persistence, planning and collaboration. If you have a project in mind that's challenging and requires evocative images, then I would love to discuss it with you.

I use the NZIPP  Standard Photographic Terms and Conditions and license images for specific use. I have full commercial insurance including public liability.

I have a library of New Zealand landscape images that can be licensed for commercial use.

I use only professional grade photographic equipment and am a qualified drone pilot.

I am a Fellow, and a qualified commercial member, of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography.
